Your health is the most important thing to keep, and it also depends on what you eat every day. You may eat good food, but it will be bad if you do not process it correctly. One of the causal factors why your food may be contaminated is due to the incorrect use of cookware. Ceramic cookware is one of the best cookware types that you can use to cook for healthy food. But, some of the people already believe in myths about ceramic cookware health risk that make them doubt to use this type of cookware. What are the myths which already change the people perspective towards ceramic cookware?
Myth 1: Non-stick Ceramic Coating Cookware is Just Similarly to Teflon Coating
Some of the people consider that the non-stick ceramic coating cookware is just the same as the Teflon coating. So, both of the Teflon and ceramic cookware types are just dangerous for the human health. However, if you see the fact that the non-stick ceramic coating cookware does not use PFOA or PTFE but it uses a natural non-stick coating that cannot leach toxins when you heat it up. So, there is no ceramic cookware health risk that you need to be afraid of because it is totally safe without PFOA and PTFE.
Myth 2: The Ceramic Material used is also Dangerous for the Health
If there is someone who says that ceramic is made from a hazardous material, then he must be mistaken. The truth is that ceramic cookware is actually made from clay. Clay is a kind of soil that has no dangerous substances when it is converted into cookware through fire hardening process. Unlike, the cast iron, aluminum, Teflon, and stainless steel cookware where they are all made from metal that may leach when you heat it up. Even though your food is contaminated by the clay during the cooking process, it is still eatable. But, when you use metal cookware, your food is no longer eatable if it is already contaminated by the metal particles.
Myth 3: Ceramic Coating is not a Good Solution for Making Cookware Safer
It is true that you can actually use ceramic cookware which is made from 100% of a ceramic or made from metal with a ceramic coating as the top layer. Some of the people say that the ceramic coating cookware may still leach the toxic metal into the food despite the ceramic already coats it. It is actually wrong because the metal is actually coated by the ceramic very well so there will be no way for the toxin to leach. Moreover, it is also finalized with the non-stick coating process on the last layer, so it is really dense and tight.
